Brett Hoover

Brett — formerly the Associate Director of the Ivy League — co-founded this website with Patricia Melton in 2009. With a background in transitioning the image and awareness of organizations, he transformed the Ivy League website into a broad-based outlet which, at its height, was drawing millions of page views per month. He then spun those efforts into several related sites, including those focused on black history, women’s history, the Olympics and the League’s 50th anniversary. Several of his written pieces won district and national awards from CoSIDA, the professional organization for publicists of college athletics.

He recently became the Chief Digital Officer for the New Balance Track & Field Center and the Armory Foundation in New York City. In that capacity, Brett oversees the Foundation’s official website, its social media outreach and the Armory’s content initiatives. His company, HepsTrack LLC, had been initially contracted to construct the Armory’s new, independent website.

A 1986 graduate of the University of Dayton, Brett has also worked very closely with the Penn Relays, an event he has now served for 22 consecutive years. He also serves as an Assistant Director of X-Mester, a summer residential experience designed for high school juniors. In the last two summers, the initiative has paired nearly 30 Fellows (including nine Ivy League athletes) with more than 200 at-risk high schoolers, who have earned more than 600 college credits in the program.
