Nathan Crumpton

ht-crumptonNathan Crumpton — an All-Ivy triple jumper while at Princeton University — has produced many iconic images from the Heps Championships, especially from the 2011 Heps Cross Country Championships which were conducted during a rain-to-snow Nor’easter.

Born in Nairobi, Kenya, Crumpton’s family lived in Switzerland, Zimbabwe and Australia before taking residence in the United States. He became a nationally-ranked jumper at Langley High in suburban Washington, D.C., winning a state title and capturing fifth in the triple at the Penn Relays. He was oft-injured while at Princeton, but graduated cum laude in 2008. He also developed his passion for photography, first joining The Daily Princetonian as a contributing photographer and eventually working into a senior staff position.

In addition to his photographic interests, Crumpton is also at home in front of the camera. He is a model and an Olympic Development Athlete with the U.S. Bobsled & Skeleton Federation.
