A Female Bannister?

Did Cornell senior Erin Roberts achieve the unthinkable — a women’s four-minute mile?

Well, no. The 4:12.56 record of Svetlana Masterkova set in 1996 is safe for now, but Roberts did play a rather convincing Roger Bannister on the Iffley Road Track this week.

Penn and Cornell traveled to England together to tour the country and face Oxford and Cambridge. The Ivies were victorious against the Brits and folks from both schools have been sharing their stories about the trip. Click here for Penn and here for Cornell.
