London Calling

Dartmouth graduate Ben True has a great run in the 5,000-meter run at the Aviva London Grand Prix — a Diamond League series event — at the Crystal Palace tonight.

True — a three-time Heps Cross Country champion — was second in 13:28.21, less than five seconds behind winner Craig Mottram of Australia.

But there will be more news coming out of the London GP tomorrow as Samyr Laine (Harvard) and Anna Pierce (Brown) compete in the triple jump and 1,500-meter run, respectively.

But then there is big news following. Incoming Harvard freshman Adam Cotton has been added to the field in the Emsley Carr Mile, joining the likes of Bernard Lagat, Leonel Manzano, Andrew Baddeley, Russell Brown and Lopez Lomong. This could be a chance for the young Cotton to bust loose an amazing time.
