Millrose & The Ivy Implications

February 11 promises to be a cold, drab Saturday in New York, so you might as well make it an exciting day of track and field. Yesterday The Armory and the New York Road Runners announced the sponsorship of two Wanamaker Miles, the traditional one for the men and, now, a metric one for the women. Worlds’ gold medalist Jenny Simpson has already committed to run and you can expect great fields.

But what you might not know, is that preceding the Millrose Games will be the Millrose Collegiate Invitational. If you take a look at that event, you will see that Brown, Penn, Columbia and Cornell have already committed to it (along with eight other D-I programs). So you could take in some great action early, take the train down and have a great late lunch in lower Manhattan and be back at The Armory for the Games.

How the tickets will be sold, packaged and such has not yet been announced, but you can get a jump on the rest by signing up to get ticket information first.
