Next On The Schedule

Now that Heps is over, the top runners and teams from the Ivy League are preparing for nationals.

First comes the NCAA Regional meets on Sat., Nov. 12. The teams from the Northeast Region, all the Ivy teams whose schools do not begin with ‘P,’ will be running at the Audubon Golf Club in suburban Buffalo, N.Y.

That includes the No. 22-ranked Columbia Lions’ men, paced by senior Kyle Merber, and the No. 28 Cornell Big Red women, with Katie Kellner and Genna Hartung. Also in Buffalo will be both individual Heps’ champions, Ethan Shaw and Abbey D’Agostino of Dartmouth.

The No. 9 Princeton Tigers, headed by senior All-American Donn Cabral, will be competing in the Mid-Atlantic Regional on the campus of the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, Md.

From the regionals, the goal is to advance to the NCAA Championships, slated for Mon., Nov. 21, at the Lavern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Ind.

So this weekend, take the train into the City and check out the ING New York City Marathon! Heps will wait.
