Columbia’s 4×800 relay squad with Connor Claflin, Brendon Fish, Liam Tansey, and Harry McFann just set a new Ivy League record with 7:20.80 in the Championship of America 4×800 relay.  It is a new record by 0.02 seconds over the 1992 Dartmouth squad of Gose, Webster, Hughes, and Fidelak.  Columbia finished 3rd overall in the Championship of America 4×800 behind Penn State (7:19.76) and Oregon (7:20.22).  Columbia’s splits were Connor Claflin (1:51.34), Brendon Fish (1:49.87), Liam Tansey (1:49.75), and Harry McFann (1:49.86).

Cornell and Princeton also competed in the 4×800 race, finishing 7th and 8th respectively.  Congrats to all athletes.
