Forever Soaring

There was a moment of silence at Heps yesterday for loss of Mamadou Johnson, who was a track & field star at Penn in the early 1990s. And when I say ‘star,’ Mamadou literally rose above all others. He remains the only Ivy Leaguer to clear 18 feet in the pole vault and he’d have gone higher if not for a wrist injury his senior year.

Friends and family have created a website in Mamadou’s honor.
