The Bleeding Has Stopped

Just when we talked about Cornell needing to step up, the Big Red hurdled up — taking both the men’s and women’s intermediates. Kenny McClain was the men’s winner in 51.94 while teammate Andre Anderson was third (52.76). Penn’s Tim Carey snuck in to break up a 1-2 sweep, helping rival Princeton at the same time. The team chase has tightened to 122-115 3/4, in favor of Princeton.

On the women’s side, Red senior Molly Glantz was the winner in 59.08, just ahead of Penn’s Paige Madison. Ryan Woolley of Cornell got fourth as the Ithacans stretched their lead over Princeton to 118-96.
