Harris Leaves Penn

In a brief statement on its website, Penn Athletics has announced the resignation of women’s coach Gwen Harris. “I want to thank Gwen for her 10 years of service here at Penn as our women’s track coach,” said AD Steve Bilsky. “We wish her well in her future endeavors.”

Penn had established 73 school records during her tenure, which began in 2003. Former Penn men’s coach Charlie Powell had resigned in the fall, citing health concerns, and former Quaker standout Robin Martin was named as his permanent successor last month.
