Alexi Pappas had a breakthrough year, earning relay All-America status indoor and then individual All-America honors in the steeplechase outdoor.
And now she is being recognized for her work off the track as one of 30 honorees for the NCAA’s Woman of the Year Award, which incorporates all levels of achievement — athletically, academically and philantrophically. All 30 will be honored at an Oct. 14 ceremony in Indianapolis, where the single Woman of the Year will be announced.
Meanwhile, the native Californian has enrolled in graduate school at the University of Oregon, where she will run cross country and indoor track. Her outdoor eligibility is complete. The aspiring filmmaker is in pursuit of a master’s degree focusing on film, English and entrepreneurial business.
