Regional Rewards

Down and dirty post this morning. And posting may be a bit spotty this week as the moving truck comes on Sunday. Here we come, New Haven.

Not at all unexpectedly, Cornell has zoomed to the top spot in the USTFCCCA Northeast Region women’s rankings. After a strong Ivy performance at the Paul Short Invitational, the Ivies hold down four of the top five slots — 1. Cornell; 2. Columbia; 3. Boston College; 4. Yale; 5. Dartmouth. Princeton, which had fallen to fifth in the Mid-Atlantic, is back to fourth, jumping over West Virginia.

For the men, Princeton hangs on to the top spot in the Mid-Atlantic, staying ahead of Villanova and Georgetown. In the Northeast, the Columbia Lions remain third and Dartmouth leaps a spot to fourth. Still leading the way are Iona and Syracuse.

And finally, in a Doug Binder story at ArmoryTrack.com, Alexi Pappas, the HepsTrack Female Alum of the Week, gave a shout out to her former teammates. “Tell the people at Dartmouth that I love them!,” she said.

The photo above of Pappas signing autographs after her Dellinger Invitational victory came from photographer extraordinaire Kim Spir. She had titled it, “We’re not at Dartmouth anymore.”
