HepsXC — Dartmouth Men

Will Geohegan by Doug Austin

Last year in the cold muck of Heps, Ethan Shaw was a surprise winner over the likes of soon-to-be American college record holders Donn Cabral and Kyle Merber.

Is Shaw’s former teammate, Will Geohegan (Brunswick, Maine), ready to make a similar move. After all, Geohegan was the top performer from the League at the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh early in the season. That performance fulfilled his promise from when he was the Gatorade Athlete of the Year from the state of Maine.

Giving support for Coach Barry Harwick’s charges will be seniors Jonathan Gault (Bedford, Mass.), who was a top-100 finisher at the punishing adidas Wisconsin Invitational, and Phil Royer (Portsmouth, R.I.) along with sophomore Dylan O’Sullivan (Harrowsmith, Ont.) and first-year Curtis King (Wuana, Wash.). Heps in likely not in the cards for Indoor Heps 3k champ John Bleday (Westwood, Mass.), who had to stop in Wisco because of injury.

Shout out to Gault, who is both the team captain and the sports editor at The Dartmouth. — Brett Hoover
