Busy as can be around The Armory at this time. You should buy Millrose Games tickets now and thank me later.
Anyway, the craziness at The Armory means that we are doing one of those big news dumps that, in less demanding times, would mean more posts and more depth. We start with the above video of Olympian and Brown graduate Craig Kinsley making a protein shake, the hard way.
Here is a followup on Yale’s Dakota McCoy, a Rhodes Scholar, from the Yale Office of Public Affairs & Communication. And folks at Track Ledger in the islands recently featured an interview with Princeton All-American triple jumper Damon McLean. Here it is. And then there is another record-smashing Tiger — freshman Julia Ratcliffe. The freshman from New Zealand was featured in the Daily Princetonian.
And on the graduate front. Cornellian Sage Canaday won a 100k race in Texas by 30 minutes. No need to re-read that finish-line photo. With he and Max King dominating long off-road events, there should be a Big Red Challenge ahead. The Ivy Longhorns — Joe Stilin, Kyle Merber and Trevor Van Ackeren — were all named to the Big 12 Commissioner Honor Roll in the fall. Stilin won the mile (4:06.29, No. 3 U.S.) and the DMR in a dual with Arkansas. Merber was third in the 1,000 (2:25.70). UT Coach Bubba Thornton liked what he saw out of Stilin, saying, “”Stilin is going to be really good for us. He showed a lot of poise.”
