One Weekend to Go…
There are less than 9 days left until Indoor Heps begins at the Gordon Indoor Track and Field Facility in Cambridge. Planning to attend? Let us know! We know of 194 other people joining us right now…
There will be some limited action this weekend as the majority of the athletes will likely be resting up. Some athletes from Brown, Dartmouth, and Harvard competed at a “make up” meet at Boston University last night (I guess that is a legitimate excuse for not taking your Valentine’s Day date out for dinner). Here’s the plan for the rest of the weekend:
- Brown and Dartmouth are scheduled to participate in the USATF New England Championships meet on Sunday. It is being held at the Gordon Indoor Facility. Details on the schedule can be found here. Also, if you want to have a nice social outing after the meet, head over to John Harvard’s in Harvard Square with other members of USATF.
- Cornell will be hosting their last meet of the indoor season, the Deneault Invitational, on Saturday. Heat sheets and schedule are available through Cornell’s sports media website.
- Penn will be sending their young 4×800 squad of Mato Bekelja, Tim Hamlett, Kirk Webb (pictured), and Tom Timmins to compete at the Millrose Games on Saturday night. Their event, the Byron Dyce College Men’s 4×800, will be contested at 7:50pm. It can be viewed online at ESPN3.com. Note: we previously reported that Columbia will compete in this same event, but they have since pulled out of the meet.
- Princeton will be hosting their Princeton Invitational on Saturday. Penn will be sending a small contingent to this meet. Accepted entries and schedule are currently available. Live results will be available once the meet begins.
HepsTrack will begin posting the final event listings going into Heps and event previews next week. Stay tuned!
