Here’s the scoop on some of the performers and events.
On the women’s side:
Dartmouth’s Abbey D’Agostino is going to defend titles in both the 1,500- and 3,000-meter runs (as expected) … Cornell’s Rachel Sorna is entered in the 3k, 10k and the steeplechase. Wow! … Columbia’s Waverly Neer is entered both the 3k and the 5k … Harvard rookie Autumne Franklin, as one would guess, is running both hurdles … Greta Feldman of Princeton is entered in both the 800- and 1,500-meter runs. Both of those events are stacked … Columbia’s Marvellous Iheukumere is entered in the 100 and 200 while Sharay Hale is back at Heps! She will compete in the 200 and 400.
For the men:
Cornell’s Bruno Hortelano-Roig is running the 200 and 400 … Tom Hopkins of Princeton is doing both of those as well as the long jump … Brown junior John Spooney will try to defend his titles in both the 100 and 200 … Princeton’s Austin Hollimon will run both the 400 flat and hurdles! … Look for two runners without times in the 1,500 this weekend — Princeton’s Peter Callahan and Harvard’s Adam Cotton. … The 800 is stacked — six under 1:50 this year plus Princeton’s Russell Dinkins. … Cornell’s Stephen Mozia is throwing the shot, discus and hammer … In the jumps, Montez Blair of Cornell is in the high and long while Princeton’s Damon McLean will compete in both the long and triple.
