Some athletes would either be resting or practicing some fine-tuning technical aspects during the small break they have before NCAAs.
Well, Cornellian Stephen Mozia has elected to that in Poland, rather than back in Ithaca, N.Y.. Mozia is in Sopot, Poland, representing Team Nigeria at the IAAF World Indoor Track and Field Championships in the shot put competition, where he will be competing against Team USA represenatives Ryan Whiting (center) and Kurt Roberts (right). The preliminary round will be tomorrow at 4:15am ET (be sure to set your alarm clock and have the coffee ready!)
Mozia is not the only HepsNation athlete in Sopot. Former Lions Erison Hurtault will tackle the 400m prelims tomorrow morning at 4:40am ET, while former Crimson Samyr Laine will hop-skip-jump on Saturday morning at 4:05 am ET for the triple jump preliminary round.
The IAAF World Indoor Track and Field Championships begins tomorrow morning at 4:00am ET and runs through Sunday, March 9th.
