A Little Break

So we are taking a little break from the Heps’ previews because we have some cool stuff to report.

First is that the Yale Track & Field Alumni Association has produced a Heps’ print (that’s a snapshot of a portion of it above). Weather permitting, you can pick up the print on Saturday at the track. The artist is Dan Schlesinger, a 1977 graduate of Yale University who scored points for the Bulldogs in the 10k in 1976 and 1977. UPDATE: We’ve had inquiries and this is an original piece of artwork intended to support the Yale Track & Field Alumni Association. The price point will be $50. We hear that an Olympic gold medalist may be on hand to sign some.

The other news is that if you can’t be there, you can still watch on Sunday. The Ivy League Digital Network will be streaming the Championships from 11:30 am until after the awards ceremony on the 11th. The audio feed will be coming directly from the public address announcer, who will be Dave Johnson, the Director of the Penn Relays and a well-known track & field stadium announcer. Given the production quality evident at the Indoor Championships in addition to Johnson on the mic, HepsTrack.com endorses the venture and expects it to be well worth the $10 if you can’t be there.
