With it now being March, the indoor season will be slowly coming a close. For many of the Ivy athletes, their final indoor competition was last weekend’s Indoor Heps. For a select few, they have next week’s NCAAs. But the rest have this weekend’s ECAC and IC4A competitions in Boston, Mass., at Boston University.
This meet is one of the longer meets of the indoor season, as it begins this afternoon and runs until Sunday late afternoon. Today’s focus will be the pentathlon and Day 1 of the heptathlon, while the rest of the track and field events will start on Saturday morning (IC4As have the morning while ECACs have the afternoon). A full schedule is available at this link and live results will be available on LancerTiming.com.
This meet has been kind to the Ivy League in recent years. Last year, the Cornell men won the overall team title, while there were six event champions and one new conference record (women’s 4×400 relay). The 2013 edition yielded four event champions and a new conference record (men’s 200m). Cornell swept the ECAC and IC4A titles back in 2012.
Will these meets continue to be kind to our Ivy Leaguers as we slowly wrap up the 2015 season?
