I took yesterday off from anything Ivy League in order to recover from an exciting Outdoor Heps meet (once again, congrats to all student-athletes and the team champions, Cornell men and Harvard women), but my break was cut short last night when I received a message from Etrain11 about a webisode he and his “expert panel” conducted recently that included discussion of the Outdoor Heps championships and the future of the Ivy League middle distance runners.
Etrain11 (aka Jarrett Felix) is a track & field blogger who primarily focuses on Pennsylvania high school competition but also reports and analyzes collegiate and professional competition with the help of some other T&F nerds/friends (check out the blog here).
Check out the webisode above. We started the video at the beginning of the first Heps/Ivy discussion, which focuses on the men’s 1500m and the potential of multiple Ivy Leaguers making it to NCAAs in this event. We say “first” because there are a total of three Ivy segments: the second one starts around the 15:55 mark and discusses the youth of the Ivy men’s 800m, and the final segment discusses predictions of which events certain athletes will contest at NCAAs.
Anyways, check out the full video. They have completed a few episodes that covered all sorts of track & field headlines (check out their full list here).
Thank you etrain for sharing the video with HepsNation!
