No current Ivy athletes have competed at a Heps Championship at the Armory in Manhattan… until this coming weekend. So we are making our first call of the week — there will be speed and noise.
The last time Indoor Heps came to New York City was 2011, so get ready. This opening post is going to give you the when, where and what of the event. But then we will launch 16 event previews over the next four days leading up to Friday night.
If you plan to attend, tickets are available through the Armory Box Office, both at the door and online. If you must drive, there is street parking adjacent to the Armory, but that requires a well-fed meter. The nearest parking lot is at 165th Street and Fort Washington Avenue, just a few blocks away from the building. The easier way to proceed is taking the A train (or the 1) to 168th Street. After popping up to the street, you need to walk just a block west to the Armory entrance on Fort Washington.
If you aren’t going to be there, both days of Indoor Heps will be streamed live on The Ivy League Digital Network (ILDN), now available on Apple TV and Roku via the ILDN app. Directly from the Ivy site: Anyone with a current subscription to The Ivy League Digital Network will be able to access the broadcast by simply clicking on the link on their school’s schedule page. For those without a subscription, there are a variety of packages to choose from, including a one-day pass. For those who are interested in purchasing a day pass for Sunday’s broadcast of the 2017 Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Track & Field Championships, log on to ILDN.tv, choose your school (under “School Packages”) and select “School Day Pass.” The subscription will be good for 24 hours from the time you finalize the purchase.
If you are ready to start focusing on the event, click here for the schedule and come back to HepsTrack.com on Tuesday.
