Diving — Women
Prior to 1996, Cornell’s Helga Mund, a member of the women’s diving team from Chile at the 1956 Melbourne Summer Games, was the sole Ivy Olympian in the women’s diving event. Forty years later, Princeton’s Daphne Hernandez (’98) entered the fold at the Atlanta Olympics, diving for Costa Rica and doubling the total of Ivy Olympians in the sport.
